We are thrilled to announce our weekly farmers markets are set to kick-off on Saturday, June 19th! Taking place every Saturday from June 19th – December 18th, come join us and experience the local produce and farm to table lifestyle here at Southlands. Hosted by Southlands Grange Centre for Farming and Food, our farmers market is set in an open-air hub where agriculture intersects with the community.

Southlands Grange Centre for Farming and Food is a centre for agricultural education that brings together community and farmers to reimagine the food system as a source of meaningful connection, ecology and health in a working landscape connected to our homes and nature. The centre supports the business of agriculture by training and mentoring the next generation of farmers by connecting students and the public to the land through tours, workshops and a vibrant Market Square.

What to expect: Fresh local produce and artisan goods, including jewelry, wine and meats, from our local farmers, Salt and Harrow and vendors such as Chaerea Jewellery, Vancouver Island Berries, Desirée Blooms and English Bay Mini Donuts and more! Vendors will vary from week to week. Cash and/or credit are accepted, depending on the vendor and we encourage you to bring your own shopping bag.

Entertainment and pop-up children’s art classes delivered by Nook Play Studio will add to the character and enjoyment of the markets. Please note that although leashed dogs are welcome in the Market Square, there will be no dogs allowed in the market area.

How to get here: Our farmers’ market is located outside the Grange in Southland’s Market Square. Southlands is located in the heart of Boundary Bay, less than 1 km from Centennial Beach! Find us at 6333 Market Ave, Delta, B.C. We offer free parking (limited space) and there are plenty of bike trails and walking paths that lead into Southlands.

COVID-19 Protocols: To ensure the safety of all guests, COVID-19 protocols will be in effect such as distancing and sanitizing.

In addition to our farmers’ market, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy while visiting Southlands. Walk around Market Square and see what our residents are growing in their allotment gardens on display, visit our restored Red Barn, and enjoy coffee and fresh baking at Prado Cafe. For those who would like to explore the surrounding area, Pedego Electric Bikes offers e-bike rentals and tours around Boundary Bay.
