A Beach Community Rooted in Farming and Food
Southlands Tsawwassen is one of North America’s largest communities rooted in farming and food, with 80% of its 530 acres dedicated to public land in the form of productive farmland, parks, and greenways. It combines the charm of agrarian villages with a modern twist, where homes sit next to small local farms that feed the community.
This is more than just a place to live; it’s a way of life.
Our Promise
Many of us grew up with the experience of growing food, pulling potatoes from the garden or picking berries for jam. But the global economics have greatly reduced the number of family farms. Food is plentiful, yet we often lack the sense of connection to its arrival on the table. This community promises to reestablish the culture of agriculture in a new sense of place.
