Introducing The Granary: Garden Flats and Townhomes
Introducing the newest phase at Southlands, The Granary, a collection of light-filled homes that strives to blend urban living and the countryside set in our vibrant Market District. These serene 1, 2, and 3-bedroom garden flats and stacked townhomes will give future homeowners the space to have the lifestyle they want to create.
All homes include a spacious private outdoor space, where homeowners and their guests can enjoy views of Market Square and the garden courtyard. These spaces are high-efficient and offer windows that open on opposite sides allowing sunlight and sea breezes to fill through air. During the heat of our summer months, the covered private terraces and patios will give buyers the shade they are looking for and inspire family meals and dinner parties with friends.
We had a vision – to connect people with farming and food. The Granary brings that idea to fruition. Our partnership with Four Winds Brewing – and their new restaurant – creates a strong sense of place. The design of the homes, the social spaces within, and the connection to Market Square make The Granary uniquely Southlands. To date, it’s the project that best expresses our vision.
Sean Hodgins, President of Century Group
We continued the farm-to-table design concept throughout each home, with a strong focus on the kitchen so that residences have somewhere to transform farm-fresh and locally grown ingredients purchased at our market into gourmet meals with Fisher & Paykel appliances and quartz countertops. The kitchens will be fully loaded with USB outlets, backsplash rail systems, and cookbook shelves.
Our bathrooms feature Matte terrazzo-inspired porcelain tile on floor and shower walls with rainfall showeheads, radiant heated tile flooring, and the illuminated vanities have quartz countertops and a custom-built lightbox with globe lights and display shelf.
During the planning process, we strived to give homeowners a real sense of community. This is why front doors will open to the street or garden courtyard between the rows of housing, creating a space for neighours to socialize and come together.
At The Granary, homes are a short walk away from the seashore and right across the street from our vibrant Market Square, where local brewers are within mere steps and there’s always something happening. Homeowners and visitors will frequent farmers’ markets, food festivals, outdoor concerts, and harvest celebrations in an intimate community where everyone knows their neighbours, farmers, and shopkeepers by name. Finish your day by coming home to the tranquility of your private balcony
